用友网络科技股份有限公司(以下简称「用友」)近日正式宣布,用友废钢智能判定系统已成功通过东京贸易控股有限公司(TML)的验收。这一重要里程碑标志着用友成功完成废钢判定产品在日本市场的本地化。


Yonyou Network Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yonyou") has officially announced that its Scrap Steel AI Grading System has successfully accepted by Tokyo Boeki Material Ltd. (TML). This significant milestone marks Yonyou's successful localization of its scrap steel grading product in the Japanese market.


日本的钢铁业年排放约 12 亿吨二氧化碳,是日本二氧化碳排放量最高的产业之一。为实现碳中和,该产业正在寻求高炉转向电炉等低排放生产方式。废钢再利用成为降本增效的关键。


The steel industry in Japan emits approximately 1.2 billion tons of carbon dioxide annually, making it one of the highest carbon emitters in Japan. To achieve carbon neutrality, the industry is seeking low-emission production methods, such as shifting from blast furnaces to electric furnaces. Scrap steel recycling is crucial for cost reduction and increased efficiency.

过去工人们需要在现场,用肉眼判断每块废钢的等级,既不安全,准确率和效率也都很低。生活废钢、拆车废钢、拆船废钢、拆机械废钢,统称为废钢,散落的废钢如何精准辨识、被压住的废钢怎么处理等等,都是需要解决的问题。


In the past, workers had to visually assess the grade of each piece of scrap steel on-site, which was neither safe nor efficient and had low accuracy. Scrap steel, which includes household scrap, car scrap, ship scrap, and machinery scrap, presents challenges such as accurate identification of scattered scrap and handling compressed scrap.

Yonyou, a global leading enterprise software and cloud service provider, was one of the early entrants into the field of scrap steel intelligent grading. Yonyou has a big professional team specializing in scrap steel intelligent grading, conducting in-depth research into the pain points and challenges in the steel industry. Through advanced AI technology, they developed the "Scrap Steel Intelligent Grading System." This system combines various advanced technologies, including the Internet of Things and deep learning, and relies on a standardized scrap steel database and mature intelligent algorithms for various material types. It achieves remote monitoring of scrap steel inspection, intelligent grading, hazardous material alerts, oversized scrap alerts, and scrap steel category analysis, resulting in precise and efficient grading. Currently, Yonyou's intelligent grading system has a 100% project success rate in the industry.

In 2023, Yonyou's Steel and Metallurgy Division launched the all-new Yonyou BIP Scrap Steel AI Grading System version 3.0, achieving significant innovations in six major aspects: redefining scrap steel grading technology, establishing scrap steel image classification standards, more accurate AI algorithms, mature scrap steel grading product suite, pioneering intelligent block detection, and leading scrap steel industry financial integration solutions. Yonyou adopted advanced single-instance segmentation technology, which enables pixel-level segmentation and effective differentiation of each individual, offering significant advantages over commonly used target detection or semantic segmentation technologies in the industry. The Yonyou intelligent grading new version has significantly improved in grading accuracy, product maturity, and scene diversity, reaching an industry-leading level. It has served over 20 companies, and expanded to foreign markets such as Japan and Indonesia.

Joining Forces to Expand in the Japanese Market


根据和日本钢铁客户和废钢回收企业的走访调研,用友发现日本废钢的料型与国内的废钢相差不大,日本客户对于废钢智能判级系统的需求也与国内钢铁企业相似,均为解决废钢判级过程中存在的验质标准不一致、扣杂不合理和危险物难识别的问题,但对危险物掺杂导致的安全问题更加重视;与此同时,经过与用友的沟通,日本客户认为废钢智能判级系统能够有效对废钢卸料过程进行全程追溯,可有效降低现场作业人员的劳动强度,改善现场作业环境,提高企业的管理水平。目前日本废钢智能判级市场只有非常少量的客户在使用,还属于蓝海市场,具有很大的市场空间。


Based on visits and research with Japanese steel customers and scrap steel recycling companies, Yonyou found that the types of scrap steel in Japan are similar to those in China, and Japanese customers have similar needs for scrap steel intelligent grading systems. These needs include resolving issues of inconsistent quality inspection standards, unreasonable impurity deductions, and difficulties in recognizing hazardous materials during the grading process. Japanese customers also place greater emphasis on safety concerns resulting from the inclusion of hazardous materials. Through communication with Yonyou, Japanese customers believe that the scrap steel intelligent grading system can effectively trace the entire unloading process of scrap steel, reduce the workload of on-site workers, improve the working environment, and enhance enterprise management. Currently, the Japanese scrap steel intelligent grading market has very few customers using such systems, making it a blue ocean market with significant potential.

Yonyou's scrap steel intelligent grading system helps Japanese steel companies improve the efficiency of scrap steel sorting and supports sustainable development in the local industry. In April 2023, Tokyo Boeki Ltd.'s subsidiary, Tokyo Boeki Material Ltd. (TML), signed an exclusive distributor contract with Yonyou for the Japanese market. TML and Yonyou aim to enhance business efficiency, reduce costs, and reduce carbon emissions by leveraging advanced technologies such as AIoT, blockchain, cloud-native, YonGPT, and more in their Saas and PaaS service platform. Their target industries include steel, manufacturing, agriculture, and the beverage industry. They work together to expand in the Japanese market and provide enterprise customers with a one-stop digital and intelligent enterprise ERP solution.

硬件本地化 

Hardware Localization


硬件本地化方面,为了满足日本本地客户对网络安全和数据隐私的高等级要求,用友与 TML 公司全面合作进行了硬件本地化适配。所有服务器、存储、网络设备等硬件均由日本本地厂商提供,而数据采集设备则由日本排名前十的安全设备供应商,东京贸易控股有限公司的子公司 TB-EYE Limited 提供。关键信息全部存储在日本本土,以确保信息的安全性和合规性。


To meet the high-level requirements of Japanese customers for network security and data privacy, Yonyou collaborated with TML to perform comprehensive hardware localization adaptation. All servers, storage, network equipment, and other hardware were provided by local Japanese manufacturers. Data collection devices were supplied by TB-EYE Limited, a subsidiary of Tokyo Boeki Ltd, one of the top ten security equipment suppliers in Japan. Critical information is stored locally in Japan to ensure information security and compliance.

软件本地化 

Software Localization


在软件本地化方面,借助 YonBIP 平台强大的本地化功能,废钢判定系统从用户界面到代码层面进行了全面的日语本地化。这包括日常数据,如时区、计量单位、币种等,以及深层业务数据,如专业术语、业务特点和标注体系等。通过这些优化,系统的友好度和易用性得到了显著提升。


In terms of software localization, leveraging the powerful localization capabilities of the YonBIP platform, the scrap steel grading system underwent full Japanese localization from the user interface to the code level. This included not only everyday data representations such as time zones, measurement units, currency, and calendrical methods but also deep-level data applications, such as professional terminology, business characteristics, and labeling systems. These optimizations significantly improved the system's user-friendliness and ease of use.

算法优化本地化 

Algorithm Optimization Localization


至于算法优化本地化,由于中日两国的废钢料型和分级标准不同,用友在项目过程中根据日本本地客户的需求进行了算法优化,以更好地满足本地市场的需求。


Regarding algorithm optimization localization, Yonyou adjusted the algorithms to better meet the needs of the Japanese market, given the differences in scrap steel types and grading standards between China and Japan.
