Food – Cold Weather Comfort Food
February’s got folks freezing their tails off, but not me—I got a pot of stew on the
stove, full of maters, taters and chuck roast! I have a few cukes on the side for crunch.
Nothing warms you up like a bowl of something homemade, thick enough to stand a
spoon in. Granny always said, “Ain’t no cold a good meal can’t fix,” and she was
right. Outside the wind’s howling, but inside it smells like Sunday supper. Might even
fry up some cornbread if I’m feeling fancy. Ain’t much to do this time of year but eat
good, stay warm and wait for spring.
Whoops, you missed the do.
