The IPQ40x8/40x9 are Qualcomm Atheros' latest smart gateway platforms that support dual-band 2x2 MIMO simultaneously, allowing manufacturers to bring Wave 2 802.11ac to the mainstream market.

IPQ40x8/40x9 supports multiple configurations: dual 5GHz, 2.4GHz + 5GHz, and even supports 60GHz band via PCI Express interface. At the same time, IPQ40x8/40x9 has a wealth of peripheral interfaces, including USB 3.0, LCD, SD/eMMC, multi-channel audio interface, LTE and Ethernet.
