PIRF-405
HOW TO SPEAK! HOW TO TALK
Don’t make a VOWEL FOUL!
How many AW sounds in this assignment?
Description – Be Safe
“Do you know why I pulled you over?”, says the uniformed officer of the law. I’d
been going over the speed limit. A broadly frowned upon behavior, although for some
strange reason, all too common. “Yes, officer, I was going 40 in a 14 zone. I don’t
know what came over me”. The custodian of the road goes on to ask for my license
and registration. All standard procedure. There is a right and a wrong way to go about
it, though. Your movements slow, your temper always under control no matter what.
He’s the law after all. “The snows have thawed and I’m feeling warm-hearted so this
time I’ll let you go”, said the cop. “Okay, officer, thanks for watching the road”.
